Mantels for the Season

Come enjoy the whimsical fireplace mantels, festive tablescapes, and cozy corners that will be set throughout the museum’s 1801 Miles Lewis house and adjoining galleries. Each space will be festooned with seasonal and creative décor. Each display will also feature some of the special and unique clocks from the museum’s collections, providing inspiration for our visitors to decorate their own mantels and homes.
This year's mantels will be decorated by members of Bristol’s Museum Collaborative: including Bristol Historical Society; Environmental Learning Centers of Connecticut; Imagine Nation, A Museum Early Learning Center; Memorial Military Museum; Museum of Fire History; and, the New England Carousel Museum!

Mantels for the Season is included with museum admission. This special event can be seen during normal business hours, Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, beginning on November 19th through January 2, 2022.
